Well, folks, as WWE strides boldly into what Paul “Triple H” Levesque is calling a brand-spanking-new era, it looks like a couple of top-tier talents are taking a little detour on the road to recovery. That’s right, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, two of the WWE’s brightest stars, are reportedly putting their wrestling boots on the shelf for a bit.

From the grapevine, aka the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we hear that Seth Rollins is looking to take a breather after his back-to-back barnburners at WrestleMania 40. The man put on quite the show, but even superheroes need a break, right? The word is he’s hoping to recharge for about four weeks, just enough time to miss the road but not forget how to do a clothesline.

Rollins was last seen playing knight in shining armor to Cody Rhodes on night two of WrestleMania, trying to help Cody snag the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. But even the best plans can face a hiccup, and it looks like Rollins is ready to step back and polish his shield for a while.

On the other side of the ring, Becky Lynch, Rollins’ better half in real life, is also hitting the pause button. She opened the show at WrestleMania 40 night one, but despite giving it her all, she couldn’t clinch the win against WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. There’s no chatter about how long Becky will be out of the limelight, but the wrestling world is surely going to miss her fiery spirit.

As both their contracts are ticking down to expiration in June 2024, the WWE universe is left biting their nails, wondering what’s next for this dynamic duo. Will they sign on the dotted line for more WWE action, or will they take their talents to new pastures? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: the absence of Rollins and Lynch is going to leave some big boots to fill.
