Folks, it’s time to roll out the red carpet on WWE SmackDown because Tama Tonga has landed, and he’s not just passing through. After a solid 14-year stint with NJPW, where he made waves and snagged titles like it was going out of style, Tonga has finally decided to bring his talents to WWE.

Let’s dial it back a bit. Tonga, a bona fide founding member of the infamous Bullet Club and a tag team juggernaut alongside his cousin and adopted brother Tanga Loa, is now writing a new chapter in his wrestling saga. And boy, what a chapter it looks to be—joining none other than The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown.

Now, WWE’s been batting eyes at Tonga since way back in 2016 when they were scooping up NJPW talent faster than a kid in a candy store. They bagged AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and The Good Brothers, but Tonga? He decided to stick it out in Japan, prioritizing family ties over state-side spotlights. Fast forward to 2023, and there was talk again of bringing him and his brother Hikuleo into the fold. But then, Vince McMahon made his grand re-entry, and well, let’s just say the hiring party hit a bit of a pause.

Despite having no chitchat with AEW—yep, not a peep even with their NJPW connections—Tonga’s jump to WWE seemed destined, like a wrestler to a ring. And now that he’s here, the plan isn’t just to have him hang around. Nope, they’re thinking about pairing him up with Jacob Fatu, another recent WWE recruit. Why? Well, their dads, Haku and Tama, threw down as The Islanders back in the ’80s, and it seems fitting to bring full circle.

But for now, Tonga’s teamed up with Solo Sikoa, making a splash by giving Jimmy Uso the boot from The Bloodline. It’s like a family reunion with a twist—WWE style. So, as Tonga steps into the WWE limelight, the wrestling world’s buzzing: How will this new Bloodline chapter unfold? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure—it’s gonna be one heck of a show.
