In a bold move that’s stirred up more chatter than a hot mic at a press conference, The Young Bucks and Tony Khan decided to air the backstage brouhaha from AEW All In, spotlighting a fiery tussle between CM Punk and Jack Perry. While this eyebrow-raising decision gave last week’s AEW Dynamite ratings a real sugar rush, it’s also got folks wagging their fingers and questioning its decorum. Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Matt Jackson stirred the pot further by saying the segment poured just the right amount of fuel on their fiery feud with Punk’s pals, FTR.

“Old wounds were reopened,” declared Jackson. “Folks, we felt showing this was as fair as a square dance in a round house. We wanted our fans to grasp the full story behind our London skirmish at All In. Our bodies were duking it out with FTR at Wembley, but our minds were backstage sorting out the kerfuffle with ol’ scapegoat Jack Perry. We three were the real underdogs that night, and it’s been eating at me like a tick on a hound.” Nick Jackson chimed in, backing up his brother, asserting he had “zero regrets” about airing the backstage drama.

“As EVPs, our boss handed us a hot potato that week, and by golly, we fried it up best we could,” added Nick.

Echoing the Jacksons, AEW President Tony Khan mentioned that spilling the backstage beans was crucial to set the stage for a dust-up between The Young Bucks and FTR, marking their first tangle since the infamous All In.
