As reported by PWInsider, this legal showdown might just be the preliminary bout before his trial later this month, connected to an alleged road rage incident last July.
Pre-trial hearings: they’re not as thrilling as a cage match, but they’re crucial for setting the stage for what’s to come in court. There’s a chance this whole thing could wrap up quicker than a squash match if Wheeler’s defense and the prosecution can hammer out a plea deal. Or, it could be an opening salvo, with motions flying faster than top-rope high-fliers.
Just over a week after posting bond, Wheeler wasn’t laying low; he was flying high across the pond in London at AEW All In. Alongside his tag team partner, Dax Harwood, the duo known as FTR defended their AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks.
