In an episode of “AEW Dynamite” that felt more like a dramatic episode of “Game of Thrones,” Swerve Strickland found himself on the sharp end of betrayal, courtesy of his own squad, the Mogul Embassy. Just when you thought wrestling couldn’t get any more Shakespearean, along comes this twist!

The drama unfolded halfway through the show, with Strickland stepping into the ring, as confident as a cat with nine lives. His challenger, Christian Cage, wasn’t far behind, armed with threats as subtle as a sledgehammer. Christian’s promise to Strickland was chilling: he vowed to strip everything from him, from his stylish hair to his golden teeth, and lastly, snatch that AEW World Champion title like a crown jewel.

With the bravado of a rap battle, Strickland fired back, summoning his crew – the Mogul Embassy – comparing his showdown with Christian to a Kendrick Lamar versus Drake feud, only with higher stakes and more spandex.

But just as the tension hit its peak, the unthinkable happened. Brian Cage, a pillar of the Mogul Embassy, turned traitor. Like a scene straight out of a wrestling noir, he launched an attack on Strickland. The crowd gasped as the betrayal unfolded, with Christian looking on, probably thinking, “Excellent.”

The Mogul Embassy then showcased their newfound ruthlessness, powerbombing Strickland through the announce table in a move that surely left a mark. Meanwhile, backstage politics thickened as The Patriarchy and The Young Bucks exchanged back-pats in a murky alliance.

Remember when the Gates of Agony faced off against Chris Jericho and Hook? Now, with Brian Cage’s recent re-signing with AEW, this storyline is thickening into a plot soup that’s bound to keep fans on the edge of their seats. As the Mogul Embassy weaves itself deeper into the Strickland vs. Christian Cage narrative, one thing’s clear: in wrestling, friends can turn foes faster than you can say “pinfall.”

Stay tuned, folks. This drama is just getting started, and the ring is its stage!
