Las Vegas is set to host WrestleMania 41, marking WWE’s triumphant return to the city since 1993. This time, it’s not in a parking lot; it’s in the grand Allegiant Stadium, scheduled for April 19 and 20 next year. The city is pulling out all the stops to make this a monumental event.
According to 8NewsNow, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has approved a whopping $5 million sponsorship for WWE. The LVCVA is banking on the event to attract over 180,000 visitors to the Strip, not just for WrestleMania itself but also for the multitude of surrounding events, including WWE and independent wrestling shows. An LVCVA spokesperson confirmed that both “Raw” and “SmackDown” will broadcast live from Las Vegas, continuing a beloved WrestleMania weekend tradition.
The announcement of Allegiant Stadium as the venue came earlier this month, with the April 19 and 20 dates being a notable shift from the usual early April schedule. According to wrestling insider Dave Meltzer, this date adjustment is designed to avoid clashing with the NCAA Final Four and to fill a traditionally quiet weekend in Las Vegas. This decision follows the success of WWE’s pre-WrestleMania 40 event in the city, which spurred a late push for Las Vegas to secure WrestleMania 41.
