In a spectacular twist of nostalgia and brute strength, former WCW star Buff Bagwell has added a new shiny piece of hardware to his collection. On May 18, Memphis Wrestling aired their latest show on YouTube, featuring an electrifying match for the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships. The reigning champs, Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston, were up against the formidable duo of Big John Dalton and the ever-charismatic Buff Bagwell.

The match had more twists and turns than a soap opera, with Matthew and Gaston initially seizing control using Bagwell’s own move – the Blockbuster – on Dalton. But the tides turned faster than you can say “Bagwell’s back!” when Dalton, with the strength of a raging bull, nailed both opponents with a double belly-to-back suplex. This paved the way for Bagwell to storm the ring, unleashing a fury of clotheslines and ensuring some skull-thumping action that sent fans into a frenzy.

With Bagwell laying down the law, Dalton made the decisive tag and soared off the top rope, delivering a splash that sealed their victory. Cue the confetti, because Dalton and Bagwell were crowned the new Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Champions!

This victory marks a significant milestone for Bagwell, who last tasted tag team gold in 2010 with Rikki Nelson as the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions. It’s also his first match since October 2022, proving that at 54, Buff is still as tough as ever. Starting his career in 1990, Bagwell’s journey through the ropes continues to be one for the ages.
