Hold onto your wrestling boots, folks! The WWE NXT Battleground on June 9th just got a whole lot spicier! Our reigning WWE NXT North American Champion, Oba Femi, is heading into a match that’s crazier than a rodeo clown on a sugar rush.

On Tuesday’s “WWE NXT,” the ring was a battleground (pun totally intended) for a Triple Threat match to determine who’d face Femi next. But things went off the rails when Gallus decided to crash the party. They took out Josh Briggs, leaving him KO’d on the mat like a frat bro after a wild night. Then, in a spectacular twist, Wes Lee got flattened by Joe Coffey’s discus lariat. In the ensuing chaos, both Lee and Coffey collapsed on top of Briggs, resulting in a double pin. Yes, folks, you heard that right—a double pin! It was a wrestling miracle and a mess all rolled into one.

Enter WWE NXT General Manager Ava Raine. In her infinite wisdom, she decreed that since Coffey and Lee both technically won, they’d both challenge Femi at Battleground. So now, we have a Triple Threat match on our hands. Femi, who’s been holding onto that North American Championship with the tenacity of a cat clinging to a curtain, is no stranger to these odds. He snagged the title from Dragon Lee on January 9th, and he’s ready to defend it again under these chaotic circumstances.

But that’s not all, folks! This Battleground event is breaking new ground by being the first NXT spectacle to light up the UFC’s Apex venue. This collaboration marks a new chapter in the WWE-UFC saga, ever since the two powerhouses merged in 2023 under the Endeavor umbrella to form TKO Group Holdings.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
