In a plot twist that’s juicier than a soap opera on steroids, the AEW universe is in for a wild ride as Chris Jericho, aka “The Learning Tree,” gears up to defend his FTW Championship against not one, but two challengers at Double or Nothing. That’s right, folks – HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata are set to turn this match into a triple threat of epic proportions in Las Vegas this Sunday.

The road to this triple threat bonanza was paved on “AEW Dynamite,” where HOOK and Shibata squared off against “The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith in an FTW Championship Eliminator match. With Jericho and his new tag team partner, Big Bill, playing peanut gallery on commentary, the tension was thicker than grandma’s gravy.

In a move that would make a yoga instructor jealous, Shibata twisted Keith into a figure-four submission with a heel hook, while HOOK simultaneously locked in his notorious Red Rum. Keith, probably wondering why he chose this career, tapped out to both, leading to a double submission that left the audience and commentary team scratching their heads.

Jericho, never one to miss a moment on the mic, labeled the referee’s decision as “interesting” and hinted at a more complicated battle ahead. But in a rare show of sportsmanship (or maybe just a teacher’s pride), he praised both Shibata and HOOK for their “learning” from his illustrious “Learning Tree.”

With this match now officially set, the first-ever three-way FTW Rules match promises to be a spectacle of high-flying, bone-crunching action. It’s the 10th match on the Double or Nothing card, and if you’re not already on the edge of your seat, you might want to check your pulse.
