Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars and hide your snacks, because GUNTHER is going to have to face off against “The Viper” himself, Randy Orton, to become King of the Ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this Saturday. “The Ring General” GUNTHER is ready to battle Orton in what promises to be a match more intense than your grandma’s bingo night. The victor of this epic clash will earn a title match at WWE Summerslam on August 3 in Cleveland, Ohio – a city famous for… well, at least it’s not Detroit.
In a twist nobody saw coming, Randy Orton triumphed over the Bloodline’s very own Tama Tonga in the main event of “WWE SmackDown,” despite Tonga being flanked by Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa. It was earlier disclosed that Tonga Loa won’t be making the trip to Saudi Arabia, probably because he’s too busy binge-watching “Game of Thrones” or something equally pressing. Meanwhile, GUNTHER was spotted in the audience, probably scouting Orton’s moves or just enjoying the overpriced popcorn.
Orton sealed his victory with a spectacular RKO on Tonga, after Sikoa initially thwarted his attempt to hit those “most dangerous three letters in WWE.” Now, that’s a phrase that should come with a parental advisory. Orton is set to advance to the finals at this premium live event on Saturday. Post-match, the drama intensified as Orton exchanged intimidating glares with GUNTHER at ringside, only to be ambushed by Sikoa’s Samoan Spike. Just when things seemed grim, Kevin Owens charged down the ramp, probably faster than he runs to the buffet, to aid Orton and send the Bloodline packing.
The show closed with Orton and Owens basking in their victory, leaving fans at home and in the arena wondering if the catering table survived the onslaught.
