On the same day Janel Grant’s lawsuit hit the pause button due to federal investigators’ requests, a new plot twist has emerged that could give even the best soap operas a run for their money. According to Wrestlenomics, Janel Grant is now represented by the PR powerhouse, The Agency Group (TAG). Yes, folks, that’s the same TAG that works with PRIME Energy, co-owned by WWE’s very own Logan Paul! The same PRIME that’s been splashing its logo all over WWE’s ring canvas during major events. Talk about a ringside seat to the drama!
But wait, there’s more! It appears that Carolina Hurley, the agent from TAG who’s been burning the midnight oil for Grant’s lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis, has a past as colorful as a WWE match. Hurley was a part of Donald Trump’s White House Communications Office. Yup, you read that right. Grant’s attorney, Ann Callis, spilled the beans to Wrestlenomics, confirming they were well aware of Hurley’s Trumpian ties before signing on the dotted line.
“Carolina disclosed the Trump connection before we hired TAG,” Callis revealed, with the calm of someone who’s just revealed their poker hand. “Our team had confidence that her team, comprised of competent and experienced women, led by a woman with a stellar resume was the optimum way to assist Janel in getting her message across while dispelling all of the negative onslaught that we knew was coming her way.”
Rumor has it that someone in the know insists Hurley was never part of Trump’s political campaigns. During her White House stint from 2017 to early 2021, she reported to a rotating cast of White House Communications Directors. She also worked on Ivanka Trump’s initiatives, like combating human trafficking. And, as if today needed more headlines, it’s the same day Trump became the first former president to be convicted of a felony.
