The WWE Universe might soon witness the unthinkable: a women’s division without Natalya. Having inked her first developmental deal with WWE back in 2007, she has been a stalwart in the wrestling world. However, her current contract status suggests a major shift could be on the horizon.
According to the wrestling sage Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Natalya’s contract with WWE is set to expire soon, and she has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, despite having an offer on the table. Reports as early as April hinted at her approaching contract end, with former Executive Vice President of Talent Dan Ventrelle’s exit cited as a potential reason for the lapse in timely negotiations.
Despite her decorated career, boasting numerous Guinness World Records for her WWE feats, Natalya has taken a backseat in 2024, primarily featuring in live events, dark matches, and on “WWE Main Event.” However, she has had notable appearances in the Queen of the Ring tournament, the women’s Royal Rumble match, and some marquee matchups on “WWE NXT,” including a challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez on April 9.
Outside the squared circle, Natalya’s life is equally bustling as she works on getting a movie about her legendary wrestling family off the ground. With her contract situation hanging in the balance, fans are left wondering if Natalya will re-sign with WWE or seek new adventures elsewhere.
