Hold on to your spandex, folks! The wrestling world just got a whole lot wilder as Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, previously known as the Guerrillas of Destiny (GoD), stormed their way into WWE’s SmackDown and left a trail of bewildered opponents in their wake.

These two have been turning heads since they aligned with The Bloodline, and let me tell you, the anticipation for their in-ring debut was higher than Vince McMahon’s eyebrow raise. Tama Tonga already showed his skills at Backlash France, teaming up with Sikoa to thrash Kevin Owens and Randy Orton in a Street Fight. He also fought valiantly in the 2024 King of the Ring tournament, defeating Angelo Dawkins and LA Knight before falling to Orton in the semifinals. But Friday night? Oh, it was Tanga Loa’s time to shine!

The dynamic duo’s debut wasn’t just any match; it followed a typically calm and serene segment with the “Wise Man” Paul Heyman—just kidding, Heyman was flailing like a fish out of water, trying to convince Kevin Owens not to tangle with The Bloodline. Owens, ever the calm diplomat, refused and chaos ensued. Before Owens could turn Heyman into a human pretzel, The Bloodline intervened. Cue the Street Profits swooping in to assist Owens, who promptly engaged in an impromptu mosh pit with Sikoa in the crowd. This left Tonga and Loa to face off against the multi-time tag team champs, and wouldn’t you know it? They emerged victorious. Shocked? Corey Graves wasn’t, reminding everyone that these brothers are tag team royalty.

Before their WWE conquest, Tonga and Loa terrorized NJPW as part of the Bullet Club from 2016 to 2022, racking up seven IWGP Tag Team Championships. They’re practically legends in Japan, still holding the record for most tag title reigns in NJPW history. Oh, and they snagged the World Tag League in 2020 and the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships for good measure.

The message is clear: The Bloodline just got a whole lot tougher, and the WWE tag team division better brace itself. The Guerrillas of Destiny have arrived, and they’re not just here to play—they’re here to conquer.
