Folks, it’s time to talk about the luckiest guy in WWE NXT right now, Tony D’Angelo, who narrowly defended his NXT Heritage Cup against Damon Kemp in a match that was more intense than a New York City traffic jam!

Tonight’s episode of “WWE NXT” saw The Family and the No Quarter Catch Crew continuing their feud, with D’Angelo clinging to his title like it was the last cannoli on the plate. D’Angelo started strong, snagging an early pinfall in the first round and skillfully avoiding getting pinned in the second. By the third round, D’Angelo was riding high with a 1-0 lead.

Then came Damon Kemp, hotter than a jalapeño in a heatwave. He unleashed a whirlwind of offense, hitting D’Angelo with a clothesline, a double stomp, and multiple German suplexes. Just when it looked like Kemp was about to even the score with a devastating Death Valley Driver, the bell rang, and the referee’s count stopped at two. Kemp was left with the harsh reality that he was just one second too late!

With a lucky escape, D’Angelo wasn’t about to let this chance slip through his fingers. As the fourth round kicked off, he hit Kemp with a spinebuster that could’ve leveled a building, securing the final pinfall to retain his NXT Heritage Cup. This win marks D’Angelo’s first successful title defense since dethroning Kemp’s stablemate, Charlie Dempsey, back on May 14.

But wait, there’s more! In other “NXT” action, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made her brand debut with a win over Stevie Turner, and veteran performer Natalya schooled Izzi Dame, former protégé of Kiana James, in singles competition.
