Ladies and gents, get ready to welcome a new face to the AEW backstage crew! Alicia Atout has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling, adding her charm and interviewing prowess to the promotion’s broadcast team. This news comes hot on the heels of AEW’s recent shake-ups, including the departure of long-time personality Dasha Gonzalez and the arrival of Arkady Aura.
Alicia Atout took to social media platform X last night, posting a backstage photo from “AEW Dynamite” with the exciting revelation that she’s signed with AEW and will be joining the fans every Wednesday. Atout hit the ground running, conducting two exclusive interviews with Wheeler Yuta, who’s making a triumphant return after a concussion, and Mark Briscoe, fresh off his win against Brian Cage to qualify for the TNT Championship ladder match at Forbidden Door.
Atout first caught the wrestling world’s attention with her interviews of prominent wrestling figures, officially stepping into the wrestling business in 2018 with TNA. She was a backstage correspondent at All In and AEW’s inaugural event, Double or Nothing, in May 2019. Despite rumors of her AEW contract, she didn’t make another appearance and instead signed with MLW later that year.
In MLW, Atout evolved from interviewer to heel valet in 2022, teaming up with Richard Holliday. The duo’s feud with Holliday’s former stablemate Hammerstone became a highlight, culminating in a dramatic falls count anywhere match that saw Hammerstone emerge victorious. Atout left MLW in March 2023, paving the way for her AEW return.
