The wrestling world is buzzing with speculation about whether WWE is planning a heist to bring TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace into their fold. Grace has already made waves by crossing the forbidden door twice this year, first by making a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble with her TNA belt in hand, and now she’s set to challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground this weekend.
With these high-profile appearances, it’s clear WWE sees star potential in Grace. Naturally, questions are swirling about whether WWE intends to make her a permanent fixture in their Superstar roster.
“I don’t think they’re going to steal her but I do believe that there may be a concerted effort between the two sides that likely will lead to Grace landing full-time in WWE at the end of her contract, if not sooner,” said PWInsider’s Mike Johnson during a Q&A. He added that WWE could potentially make an offer to buy out her current contract with TNA.
Grace’s contract with TNA is expected to expire in the first quarter of 2025. This leaves room for multiple scenarios: she could continue to work with both promotions, stick with TNA until her contract runs out, or negotiate a move to WWE. Her working relationship with WWE is particularly intriguing because the promotion seldom invites outside talent for special appearances, let alone a cameo and an extended TV run.
Interestingly, Grace’s WWE journey mirrors the introduction of AJ Styles in 2016, who made a memorable debut and quickly became a cornerstone of the WWE roster. Grace will look to make history this weekend by becoming the first-ever TNA-WWE double champion after winning her singles debut over Stevie Turner on the June 4 episode of “WWE NXT.”
As the wrestling world watches closely, one thing is certain: whether she stays with TNA, moves to WWE, or juggles both, Jordynne Grace’s future is bright, and her presence in the squared circle is undeniable.
