In a move that’s more electrifying than a cat stuck in a toaster, WWE’s NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom have thrown open the doors to all challengers following their victory at “NXT” Battleground. And who should strut in like peacocks at a parrot convention? None other than TNA’s top duo, Chris Bey and Ace Austin!
Fresh off their win over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Frazer, and Axiom are looking for their next big challenge. Frazer, with the confidence of a man who’s just discovered hair gel, laid out an open challenge. Chris Bey, never one to miss an opportunity, responded faster than a cat to a laser pointer, hinting that he and his partner Ace Austin might be the next contenders.
Bey and Austin, TNA’s two-time World Tag Team Champions, are ready to mix it up with NXT’s finest. Though their last reign ended with a loss to Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards, these two are as determined as a dog with a bone. Bey’s previous WWE stint saw him lose to Ariya Daivari on “205 Live” in 2019, and Austin’s encounter ended in a tag team loss against Lucha House Party in 2018. But hey, who’s counting?
WWE’s bromance with TNA is blossoming, as seen with TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace making several appearances on “NXT.” She showcased her skills by winning against Stevie Turner and even put up a solid fight against “NXT” Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at Battleground. With TNA executives, including head honcho Anthony Cicione, hanging out backstage, this cross-promotional love fest is likely to continue.
Stay tuned, folks. If this tag team showdown happens, it’s bound to be more explosive than a microwave full of marshmallows!
