Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes made a heartfelt appearance on this past week’s WWE NXT, bringing a special gift for one of the brand’s stars. Backstage at NXT, Rhodes encountered Jacy Jayne and offered her his iconic “Dashing” Cody Rhodes face mask after Jayne broke her nose in a match with Thea Hail at the NXT Spring Breakin’ show.

Cody, ever the showman, approached Jayne with a paper bag and a smile. “That’s the person I came to see,” he said. “I wanted to give you something.” The American Nightmare then handed over his mask, leaving Jayne—accompanied by Jazmyn Nyx—surprised and seemingly delighted by the thoughtful gesture.

Fans will remember Rhodes famously wore the mask during his first WWE run after his nose was broken in a match with Rey Mysterio. Back then, portraying his “Dashing” gimmick, Rhodes not only used the mask as a weapon but also credited it with saving his life after a brutal kick from Randy Orton. Jayne, who required surgery after her injury, has been sidelined for over a month, making the gift both practical and symbolic.

Aside from this touching moment, Rhodes imparted wisdom to NXT Champion Trick Williams following Williams’ victory over Ethan Page at Battleground. He also announced that next week’s NXT would feature a 25-man battle royal to determine Williams’ next challenger.

During his visit, Rhodes also caught up with former AEW colleagues Shawn Spears, Ethan Page, and Lexis King (formerly Brian Pillman Jr.). With his focus now shifting to AJ Styles, whom he will face at this Saturday’s Clash at the Castle show in Scotland, Rhodes’s influence continues to resonate across WWE’s various brands.
