Ladies and gentlemen, The People’s Champion is back with an update that’s sure to get the eyebrow-raising and the tequila-pouring. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently shared some news about a gnarly injury he sustained on the set of his latest flick, “The Smashing Machine.”
Just a few days ago, The Rock took to social media to reveal that his elbow had a not-so-friendly encounter with what he called the “boo boo monster.” The result? A ruptured bursa sac and a scar that would make any action hero proud. But fear not, Rock fans, he assured us all that there’s no extensive tissue damage and he’s on the fast track to recovery.
“Elbow got kissed by the boo boo monster 👹 💪🏾 No extensive tissue damage. Ruptured bursa sac that will eventually heal. I’ve had much worse, and as always let pain – and tequila – be the guide 😈 Back to work. #thesmashingmachine #bennysafdie (thank you all for the love and healing/medicine recommendations ❤️🩹 Im good 👍🏾),” The Rock posted.
For those out of the loop, “The Smashing Machine” is a biographical movie about former UFC fighter Mark Kerr, with The Rock starring as Kerr and Emily Blunt co-starring. The movie promises to be a knockout, with a release set for the end of the year.
But that’s not all! The Rock has a busy slate ahead in 2024, including “Moana 2” and the action-packed “Red One.” And wrestling fans, don’t despair—The Rock has also teased a return to WWE, promising to continue his story with Cody Rhodes.
Stay tuned, because The Rock’s journey is far from over, both on-screen and in the ring!
