Hold onto your wrestling boots, Indianapolis! The WWE has just announced a hat trick of epic proportions, bringing not one, not two, but three of its marquee events to your neck of the woods. Yes, folks, the 2025 Royal Rumble, a future WrestleMania, and SummerSlam will all be emanating from the city that brought us the Indy 500 and some seriously delicious pork tenderloin sandwiches.
In a statement released Monday, WWE and the Indiana Sports Corp broke the internet (okay, maybe just the wrestling corner of it) with this major news. The 2025 Royal Rumble will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium, home to the Colts and now, an arena where 30 superstars will battle it out for a chance at glory.
Patrick Talty, President of Indiana Sports Corp, couldn’t contain his excitement: “We are thrilled to bring this groundbreaking partnership to Indianapolis. For over four decades, our city’s sports strategy has brought in millions of visitors and priceless hours of international brand-building media coverage. This partnership with WWE continues to push that strategy forward in new and exciting ways. We look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe to our community and state and showing them all that Indy has to offer.”
The exact dates for WrestleMania and SummerSlam in Indy remain a mystery, but rest assured, the anticipation is building faster than a Goldberg match. In the meantime, WWE will be teasing the Hoosier State with live events from “Raw,” “SmackDown,” and “NXT” across Indiana, turning the state into a wrestling mecca.
While Indianapolis gears up for these colossal events, other cities are already on the WWE map. WrestleMania 41 will hit Las Vegas like a superkick, and SummerSlam 2026 is booked for the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
