Before The Elite suspended him in March, “Hangman” Adam Page’s obsession with Swerve Strickland had already begun unraveling him. Since returning this past Wednesday on “Dynamite” as the Wild Card in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, Page’s descent into madness has only deepened. After defeating Jeff Jarrett that night and Jay White on Saturday’s “Collision” to advance to the tournament finals, the cowboy seems more unhinged than ever.
On Monday, AEW released exclusive footage of Page post-victory over White, where the former AEW World Champion completely lost his composure. Still covered in blood from his match, Page launched into a furious tirade about his determination to win the tournament, stating he’d spill his blood “a thousand times over” for the chance to “take everything” from Strickland.
Attempting to walk away, Page broke down, screaming about how Strickland had invaded his home, threatened his family, and forced them to move. With desperation in his voice, Page lamented that Strickland never faced consequences and how fans still embraced him despite all Page had sacrificed for them and AEW over the past five years.
After regaining some composure, Page turned his fury towards his Owen Hart Tournament final opponent, Bryan Danielson. He declared that he was more driven than ever, fueled by a mix of hatred and justice. Page vowed to defeat Danielson on Wednesday, leaving him with nothing, and setting his sights on Strickland at AEW’s “biggest stage.”
