Will Ospreay, the AEW International Champion and master of aerial antics, had quite the night on July 10’s “AEW Dynamite.” The “Aerial Assassin” kicked off the show with a fiery promo aimed at MJF, AEW’s resident villain with a penchant for stirring trouble. This came after MJF’s brutal attack on Daniel Garcia during the “Beach Break” edition of “Dynamite,” which left Garcia needing a stretcher exit.

But Ospreay’s passionate words didn’t quite hit the mark. Following his match with Garcia, he took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to issue a mea culpa.

“Alright guys, realised I made a mistake during my comments last night on dynamite. I’ll do better next time under a lot of stress personally & wasn’t really focusing on my wording & result didn’t add up. No excuses when the red light is on. Next week I’ll knock it out the park,” Ospreay posted, displaying the kind of humility that makes wrestling fans cheer for their favorites even louder.

While Ospreay didn’t specify his slip-up, fans quickly pointed out inaccuracies in his comments about ADHD and MJF’s ADD condition. It’s a reminder that even the high-flying heroes of the ring can stumble when it comes to sensitive topics.

Despite the promo hiccup, the real drama is set to unfold on the special 250th episode of “Dynamite” on July 17. Ospreay will defend his International Championship against MJF, a match that’s sure to be a barnburner. With only one singles loss in his AEW career, Ospreay is no slouch, but MJF’s record as a former AEW World Champion for over 400 days looms large. This showdown promises to be one of Ospreay’s biggest challenges since landing in AEW.
