The road to AEW All In 2024 at Wembley Stadium is heating up, with the card beginning to take shape and fans eagerly snapping up tickets. After the latest “AEW Dynamite,” we’ve got confirmed matches for the AEW World and Women’s World Championships: Swerve Strickland will defend his title against Bryan Danielson, while “Timeless” Toni Storm is set to clash with her former protégé Mariah May.
But while the matches are exciting, the real buzz is about the attendance numbers. Last year, AEW made history with a paid attendance of 81,035, although the actual turnstile count was just under 73,000. So, what’s the forecast for 2024? According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, things are looking promising.
As of now, nearly 41,000 tickets have been sold for this year’s event, with Wembley set up to accommodate just over 51,000 fans, according to Wrestletix. However, there’s a bit of a numbers game in play. AEW insiders claim that 45,000 tickets were sold even before any matches were announced. Regardless of the exact figure, there’s a strong sense of confidence within AEW that ticket sales will accelerate now that the card is being confirmed. Plus, the company’s early presence in the UK for media events and the August 21 taping of “Dynamite” and “AEW Collision” in Cardiff should boost sales.
Tony Khan’s goal is to hit 50,000 tickets sold, and Meltzer believes that would be a solid success. With over six weeks to go until the event, there’s plenty of time to build the anticipation and potentially surpass that target.
