In a plot twist worthy of the grandest wrestling storylines, CJ Perry has officially parted ways with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). After a disappearing act since December 2023, Perry broke her silence in a recent USA Today interview, revealing that her AEW stint has come to a close. With her sights set on a new wrestling promotion, Perry’s goal is to elevate her managerial prowess to rival none other than WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman.

“I’m really focused on finding talent and cultivating them and helping them become the best wrestler, champion possible,” Perry declared. “I guess you could say I want to be the Paul Heyman.”

Perry made her AEW debut at the September 2023 All Out event with high hopes of rekindling her alliance with her now-former husband, Miro. But in true wrestling drama fashion, Miro gave her the cold shoulder, striding away up the entrance ramp alone. Undeterred, Perry moved on to manage Action Andretti and Andrade El Idolo, only to turn on Andrade at AEW Worlds End, setting the stage for Miro’s pay-per-view victory.

In light of Perry’s departure, AEW confirmed to Fightful Select that she was among the talent released in April’s roster shake-up. Originally joining AEW on a per-appearance deal, Perry eventually secured an official contract, only to now be back on the market, ready to channel her inner Paul Heyman.
