Folks, we all know wrestling is serious business, but it seems even the mighty WWE has to bow to the Olympic gods. With 2024 being a year packed with sports galore—NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, European Championship, Copa America, and now the Paris Olympic Games—our favorite wrestling shows are being muscled out of their usual slots like a tag team partner booted from the ring.

Starting July 26, the Summer Games are set to take over NBC Universal stations like a bulldozer at a construction site, leaving WWE scrambling for a new home. Fear not, wrestling aficionados, for Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has dropped the scoop: “WWE Raw” and “WWE NXT” will make their temporary residence on SyFy! Yes, SyFy, the land of sharks in tornadoes and campy sci-fi flicks, is about to get a taste of the suplex and body slam action. Mark your calendars for the July 29 and August 6 episodes of “Raw,” and the July 30 and August 7 episodes of “NXT.” Meanwhile, “WWE SmackDown” remains unaffected, holding its ground like a champ.

This isn’t the end of the musical chairs game for WWE shows. In October, “NXT” and “SmackDown” will switch networks faster than you can say “steel cage match.” “NXT” is packing its bags for The CW, while “SmackDown” moves from FOX to USA. And just when you thought “Raw” was staying put, it too will relocate from USA to Netflix starting 2025. Talk about a power move!

So, fans, get ready to adjust your remotes and embrace the chaos. After all, if WWE teaches us anything, it’s that you gotta roll with the punches—or in this case, the channel changes.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
