In a twist no one saw coming, AEW’s Brody King decided to take his wrestling rivalry with Darby Allin to new heights—literally—during a heavy metal concert. When King isn’t terrifying opponents as the “Big Bad” of the House of Black, he channels his inner rock star as the lead vocalist for his band, God’s Hate. This Friday night in Los Angeles, the concert crowd got more than they bargained for.
As King belted out tunes, Allin made a surprise run-in, disrupting the gig. Not one to be caught off guard, King hoisted Allin onto his shoulders and launched him into the crowd like a human cannonball. The mosh pit got a whole new meaning that night, with footage of the aerial assault quickly going viral on social media.
Their history of carnage dates back to 2022 in AEW, where they traded brutal wins in their feud. King secured a victory via referee’s stoppage in their first encounter, while Allin emerged victorious in their second, a Coffin Match. Their blood feud traces back even further to the independent circuit battles of 2018-2019, where they clashed in promotions like Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
Currently, both wrestlers have their hands full with other feuds. Allin is tangled up in the chaotic confrontations between The Elite and the defenders of AEW, while King and his House of Black cohort, Malakai Black, are embroiled in battles with Bullet Club Gold and Christian Cage’s Patriarchy. With their third-man Buddy Matthews sidelined after an attack by Cage’s crew, King and Black still managed to pull off a big win at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, besting Private Party, Kyle O’Reilly and Tomohiro Ishii, and Roderick Strong and Gabe Kidd in a four-way tag team match.
But as Friday night’s concert antics prove, the rivalry between Brody King and Darby Allin is far from over. Who needs a wrestling ring when you have a mosh pit?
