QT Marshall, the unsung hero of wrestling who has molded rookies into the stars of tomorrow, has now sculpted something even more impressive—his own biceps. The ex-AAA Latin American Champion recently flexed his way to first place in the Classic Physiques Championships True Novice competition at the 2024 NPC Lenda Murray Classic in Atlanta, GA. However, Marshall, ever the wrestling romantic, doesn’t see a long-term relationship with bodybuilding in his future.
“A year ago I decided to change my lifestyle. Today, I competed in my first (& most likely only) classic physique event with a first-place victory,” Marshall proudly posted, alongside a before-and-after photo that could make a Greek statue blush. “Life can be really fun if you let it.”
In 2023, Marshall took a brief hiatus from AEW to dabble in the indie scene, but the wrestling magnetism was too strong, pulling him back as a backstage producer. To spice things up, Marshall had to officially break up with AEW momentarily so they could renegotiate a relationship that allowed him to chase dreams like running Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling with Cody Rhodes’s sister, Teil.
The wrestling and bodybuilding worlds often collide. Just ask former WWE Women’s Champion Victoria or WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, both of whom were bodybuilders before they bodyslammed their way into the ring. Even Vince McMahon couldn’t resist, briefly venturing into bodybuilding with the World Bodybuilding Federation in the early ’90s, combining muscles and melodrama in true sports-entertainment style.
