Hold onto your wrestling boots, folks! In a storyline twist more shocking than finding a parking spot at WrestleMania, Xavier Woods has found himself some new muscle in the form of Otis and Akira Tozawa. This dynamic duo will join Woods to take on Karrion Kross and The Authors of Pain next week on WWE Raw. But guess what? Kross isn’t exactly thrilled about Woods’ new buddies. Who saw that coming?
“Do not involve other people in our business,” Kross fumed in a promo on X (formerly known as Twitter, because why not rebrand everything?). “I don’t like that. I don’t appreciate it. And not only that, it defeats the entire purpose of everything I’m trying to do for you. I’m trying to help you stand on your own two feet. I never said don’t ever talk to Kofi again, or you can’t visit him on the holidays, or you can’t even ever talk with him ever again. All I suggested was that you take a step away from New Day. You had, I guess, your own interpretation of that. Don’t turn me into the bad guy here. Kofi’s the bad guy. You, I’m suspicious of at this point, because all you’re going to do for those guys is get them severely, severely hurt.”
Wow, Kross, tell us how you really feel! Apparently, Kross thinks Woods can become the next big thing if he ditches the New Day and joins The Final Testament faction. Woods, however, isn’t buying what Kross is selling, which makes sense since Woods has been successfully doing his own thing, even beating Kross in singles competition on the July 1 episode of Raw.
After that match, The Final Testament showed their displeasure by ambushing both Woods and Kingston, with Kross getting extra twisty by locking Kingston in an arm submission that left him with an AC joint sprain. Ouch!
Now, with Otis and Tozawa in his corner, Woods is gearing up for next week’s showdown, but Kross is throwing out warnings like candy at a parade. “Get rid of them next week, or else,” Kross threatens, sounding like a villain in a bad action movie.
Tune in next week to see if Woods will keep his new pals or if Kross’s threats will actually lead to some spine-tingling action. One thing’s for sure: WWE Raw just got a whole lot spicier!
