Ladies and gents, get ready for some high-octane action! Thea Hail has officially secured her spot as the next contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Thanks to Ridge Holland’s matchmaking skills, Hail found herself in a bout against Izzi Dame last week on “WWE NXT.” She seized the moment and emerged victorious, earning herself a shot at the gold.

Current NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez isn’t exactly quaking in her boots. On this week’s episode of “NXT,” Perez couldn’t help but laugh at the idea of facing Hail, dismissing her as nothing more than a “little girl” from Chase U. Well, if there’s one thing we’ve learned in wrestling, it’s that you don’t underestimate your opponent. Hail didn’t take kindly to Perez’s smack talk, and the two soon found themselves in an all-out brawl.

Perez tried to lock Hail in a crossface, but Hail showed she’s got moves of her own, countering with a Kimura Lock. Just as things were heating up, Ridge Holland swooped in to pull Hail out of the submission hold, letting Perez escape with her title.

Mark your calendars, folks! Perez will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Hail at the “NXT” Great American Bash, a two-night television special on Tuesday, July 30, and Tuesday, August 6. The exact night of their showdown is still under wraps, but one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be epic.

This will be Hail’s first televised championship match since the 2023 Great American Bash, where she came up short against Tiffany Stratton. For Perez, this will be her sixth title defense in her second reign, which began with a victory over Lyra Valkyria at “NXT” Stand & Deliver.

Get ready for a showdown that promises to be anything but laughable!
