Well folks, we’ve got another case of father-son rivalry, and this one’s gone digital! Earlier today, WWE dropped the bombshell that several of its top stars are joining the virtual battlefield in the upcoming “Call of Duty: Warzone.” The chosen few? Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, and lucha libre legend Rey Mysterio.
But hold onto your controllers because Dominik Mysterio, Rey’s son and perennial party pooper, isn’t too thrilled about daddy dearest leveling up his game status. Dominik took to X (the artist formerly known as Twitter) and declared his father’s inclusion as “an ass cheeks choice.” Yes, you read that right. He even tagged Call of Duty’s official account, like a true internet warrior, demanding digital justice. Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty left him on read. Ouch.
Dominik’s grumpy gamer moment is just the latest addition to his list of woes. His desk has been piled high with problems, particularly the persistent advances of WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Ever since Dominik lent a hand (or perhaps a foot) in helping her snatch the title from Becky Lynch in May, Morgan’s been making moves like it’s prom night, much to his discomfort.
As if that wasn’t enough, Dominik’s love life got another smackdown when Ripley stormed back into the picture. She’s not too pleased with Morgan’s aggressive courtship or her title reign, a belt Ripley herself had to vacate. Ripley has since thrown down the gauntlet, challenging Morgan to a match at SummerSlam, with Dominik caught in the crossfire.
So, what’s next for our troubled teen? Will he rise to the occasion or continue throwing shade on social media? Only time, and perhaps his KD ratio, will tell.
