After nearly 60 minutes of high-octane action, MJF is the new International Champion, having defeated Will Ospreay on the milestone 250th episode of “AEW Dynamite.” Last week, MJF challenged Ospreay after “The Aerial Assassin” sought revenge for Daniel Garcia, but it backfired spectacularly. MJF, armed with his trusty Dynamite Diamond Ring, emerged victorious in Little Rock, Arkansas, solidifying his reign as the king of modesty. As we all know, MJF is renowned for his humility, especially on social media. Following his triumph, he humbly tweeted: “Will Ospreay’s title reign has been caught and compromised to a permanent end. America has a real champion now. Easy W. #ThankMeLater.”
With this victory, MJF became only the second man in AEW history, after Jon Moxley, to win both the AEW World and International Championships. The first-ever International Champion, PAC, who won the title when it was still known as the All-Atlantic Championship at Forbidden Door 2022, is also eyeing MJF’s new prize. PAC earned a shot at MJF’s title with a global glory four-way match victory on July 10 and expressed his desire for a Wembley moment after missing out on All In 2023 due to injury.
While fans in London could be treated to an epic MJF vs. PAC showdown, Ospreay will undoubtedly seek a rematch after his controversial loss to Friedman. Adding to the drama, Garcia will be gunning for MJF after their clash at the “Beach Break” edition of “Dynamite.” It’s safe to say a long line of challengers will be forming to face MJF at All In 2024.
