Folks, if you thought the drama in your favorite daytime soap opera was intense, WWE SmackDown just took it to a whole new level! Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens were flying high after defeating former WWE Tag Team Champions A-Town Down Under, but their victory lap was brutally cut short by The Bloodline, who made sure to remind everyone why they run the show.
In a match that was supposed to serve up a humble pie to A-Town Down Under for blaming Rhodes for Randy Orton’s recent beatdown, Rhodes and Owens came out swinging. They secured the win, but just when they thought they could celebrate, The Bloodline stormed in like a wrecking ball. Rhodes, never one to back down, launched himself over the top rope, targeting Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga. Meanwhile, Owens took on Tanga Loa, showing why he’s called “The Prizefighter.”
For a fleeting moment, it looked like Rhodes and Owens might turn the tide against The Bloodline. They were inches away from putting the new Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa, through the announce table. But then, from out of nowhere, Jacob Fatu blindsided Owens, and things went south faster than a snowman in July. Sikoa and Tonga restrained Rhodes, forcing him to watch as Fatu delivered a series of punishing hip attacks to Owens in the corner.
The nightmare didn’t end there. With a chilling sense of déjà vu, Sikoa, with help from his family, hoisted Rhodes onto his shoulders and smashed him through the announce table. Owens, refusing to back down, met a gruesome fate as well, getting a steel chair wrapped around his neck before being hurled into the ring post.
Once again, The Bloodline stood tall amid the carnage, their dominance on full display. Since cutting ties with Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa has been on a mission to obliterate the SmackDown locker room, and his sights are now firmly set on Cody Rhodes, the last obstacle between him and the Undisputed WWE Championship.
