In a week where the wrestling world was rocked harder than my fabulous hairdo on a windy day, the Rascalz reassembled and wrestled their way back into our hearts. First, they strutted their stuff on WWE NXT, defeating Gallus. But that was just the appetizer, folks. The main course was served at TNA Slammiversary, where Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz, and Trey Miguel took on NXT’s No Quarter Catch Crew.

For Wes Lee, this was no ordinary match. It was his first TNA bout since he was known as Dez—back when phones had buttons and TikTok was just the sound a clock made. Fast forward to Slammiversary 2024, and Lee, Wentz, and Miguel treated Heights to a delightful combo meal of the Soup Kitchen and the Hot Fire Flame. These guys even rocked Buzz Lightyear gear, proving they’re ready to wrestle and reach for the stars.

After their victory, the Rascalz hopped on X (formerly Twitter, not the rollercoaster), delivering a message sharper than a wrestling chair shot. Wes Lee, in full motivational speaker mode, said, “You see, I’ve had plenty of run-ins with you all in the NXT. I understand your ways, and I know that you are not one to follow the rules if it means that you get your victory. Respect, in some ways. We can handle business without having to break the rules. Trust and believe, if we want that victory, we going to get that victory. We got it all.”

Trey Miguel, ever the philosopher, added, “It doesn’t matter if it’s at NXT, it doesn’t matter if it’s TNA, smoke ’em, if you got ’em!” A message both inspiring and possibly hinting at some celebratory post-match activities.

In other Slammiversary news, Nic Nemeth (formerly known as WWE’s Dolph Ziggler) outlasted five others to claim the TNA World Championship. Because why settle for being a Showoff when you can be a champion?

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
