Folks, the world of Japanese wrestling is heating up this summer, and it’s about to get a whole lot sassier! We’ve got NJPW’s G1 Climax, Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory, and the crème de la crème, STARDOM’s 5 Star Grand Prix. But hold onto your hats, because this year’s tournament is getting a shot of American spice!

Today, it was announced that AEW’s own Anna Jay will be making her Japanese wrestling debut in STARDOM’s 5 Star Grand Prix. Yes, you heard that right—Anna Jay is packing her bags and heading to the Land of the Rising Sun! She’s been placed in the A Block on the Blue side of the field, ready to strut her stuff and show those folks in Japan how it’s done.

Our girl Anna couldn’t contain her excitement and took to X (formerly known as Twitter, but who’s keeping track these days?) to share her joy. She said, “Here I come @we_are_stardom Excited and honored. You have no idea!!!” Oh, we’ve got an idea, Anna. And we’re just as pumped!

Anna will be stepping into the ring with some of the best STARDOM has to offer. She’ll face off against Syuri, Starlight Kid, Koguma, Saori Anou, and one half of the Goddesses of STARDOM Champions, Xena. And let’s not forget, Lady C or Miyu Amasaki will complete the lineup after their qualifying match on July 28.

The tournament kicks off on August 10 and will see our AEW star in action until August 24. Now, here’s the kicker—if Anna makes it out of her block, she’ll still be in Japan when AEW hits London for the All In pay-per-view on August 25. But if she doesn’t, there’s still a chance she might make a last-minute dash to Wembley, assuming she’s booked for the show by bell-time. Talk about cutting it close!

Stay tuned, folks. This summer is going to be a wild ride with Anna Jay bringing her American flair to the Japanese wrestling scene. It’s bound to be a spectacle you won’t want to miss!

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
