In a move that’s got the wrestling world buzzing louder than a beehive in July, Odyssey Jones finally made his explosive WWE Raw debut on August 5. After being drafted not once, but twice to the main roster, Jones came out swinging—literally. This Monday, the big man kept that momentum rolling and snatched his first victory on the red brand, leaving fans and foes alike in awe. But hold on, because the best is yet to come: Jones will be teaming up with none other than Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day in a six-man tag team match next week!
Jones went toe-to-toe with Vincent Winey, a Performance Center standout best known for his football days as a linebacker at Morehead State University. Winey tried to pull off some early offense, launching himself at the 6-foot-5, 300-plus-pound Jones, but it was like throwing a pebble at a freight train. Jones promptly tossed Winey across the ring like yesterday’s leftovers and sealed the deal with a spinning sidewalk slam that left everyone in the arena picking their jaws up off the floor.
The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods jumped into the ring to celebrate with their new powerhouse pal. But, folks, in true WWE fashion, the party didn’t last long. Enter The Final Testament’s very own, Karrion Kross, who grabbed a mic and stirred the pot like he was auditioning for a reality TV show. Kross accused Kingston of using Odyssey Jones to fill the Big E-sized hole in The New Day, trying to drive a wedge between Kingston and Woods.
Woods wasn’t having any of it and was about to fire back when Kingston swiftly proposed a six-man tag team match. Kross, never one to back down, accepted the challenge. So, mark your calendars because on August 19, The Final Testament is set to clash with The New Day and their new powerhouse buddy, Odyssey Jones.
And what about Big E? The former New Day member, still sidelined and not cleared to compete, voiced his support for Jones on social media during last week’s debut. While it’s unclear if Big E will step back into the ring anytime soon, his presence—or absence—continues to loom large over this developing story.
