WWE is getting ready to turn the volume up to eleven for its first-ever premium live event in Germany, and who better to provide the soundtrack than the genre-bending maestros of kawaii metal, Babymetal? That’s right, folks—when WWE hits Berlin on August 31 for Bash in Berlin, the crowd at the Uber Arena will be headbanging to the electrifying beats of Babymetal’s “Ratatata,” as announced by none other than WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Taking to the digital wrestling ring known as X (formerly Twitter), Triple H dropped the news like a surprise entrance at the Royal Rumble, revealing that Babymetal’s latest collaboration with German electronicore band Electric Callboy is the official theme song for the event. The track “Ratatata,” which mixes metal with EDM, originally dropped in May 2024 and is set to bring the kind of energy to Berlin that could only be matched by a Brock Lesnar suplex.
For those keeping score, this isn’t Babymetal’s first rodeo with WWE. The band, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and Momoko Okazaki, made their WWE debut back in 2016 with the adrenaline-pumping track “Karate,” which served as one of the theme songs for the “WWE NXT” Takeover: The End event. That night, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor tore down the house in a steel cage, all while Babymetal’s sounds set the stage.
As WWE prepares to make history in Germany, the card is already shaping up to be as epic as the music. Cody Rhodes is putting his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Kevin Owens, while Randy Orton steps up to challenge GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. And in a match that’s bound to be as chaotic as the music itself, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley will face off against Dominik Mysterio and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
With a stacked card and an electrifying soundtrack, Bash in Berlin is shaping up to be an unforgettable night for WWE fans and metalheads alike. So, crank up the “Ratatata” and get ready for some high-octane action!
