Folks, the TNT Championship has a new look, and it’s got Jack Perry’s fingerprints all over it—literally! On the August 17 episode of “AEW Collision,” Perry didn’t just win his match; he turned the entire title scene upside down with a wild, paint-splattered message aimed straight at Darby Allin.
After dispatching independent wrestling star Danny Orion, Perry wasted no time in getting creative—perhaps too creative. Instead of basking in his victory, he pulled out a bright green body bag, spray-painted with Darby’s name, from under the ring. With Orion lying like yesterday’s leftovers, Perry grabbed some white spray paint and gave him a makeover—Darby Allin style, of course. He then stuffed Orion and the current TNT Championship into the body bag like he was packing up for a weekend getaway.
But the madness didn’t stop there! Perry whipped out a second bag and revealed his brand-new, custom TNT Championship, featuring a black strap and a splash of red paint that screams “Perry’s Playground.” This redesign is clearly a not-so-subtle message to his All In opponent Darby Allin, and let’s be real, it’s got a bit of that rebellious flair Perry’s been flaunting since claiming the title at Forbidden Door.
Now, this isn’t the first time an AEW belt has gotten a makeover this summer. Just last month, MJF turned the AEW International Championship into the “American Championship” because, well, it’s MJF. He’ll defend it against Will Ospreay at All In, but all eyes are on Perry and his TNT title defense against Darby Allin on August 25. Will the new-look belt still be in his hands by the end of it? Stay tuned.
