Folks, it’s been a tremendous month for WWE, with the “Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns making his big return at the start of August. He’s been a dominant presence on WWE SmackDown, showing up week after week like clockwork. But guess what? It looks like there’s one SmackDown show that might go down without the Head of the Table, and let me tell you, folks, this is big league news!
According to WrestleTalk, Reigns was originally scheduled to appear on the September 13 episode of SmackDown in Seattle, Washington. The people were excited, folks—very excited. But now, the rumors are swirling faster than a reporter at a buffet: Reigns has been pulled from the event. Yes, you heard that right. The Tribal Chief is off the posters, replaced by none other than Tiffany Stratton. Talk about a shakeup! Cody Rhodes, Bayley, LA Knight, Nia Jax, and Solo Sikoa are still slated to appear, but without Reigns, it’s like a cake without icing—still good, but missing that extra pizzazz.
Now, last week on SmackDown, Reigns took quite the beating from The Bloodline in a segment that had fans on the edge of their seats. And folks, we even saw the return of Jacob Fatu—big stuff happening here. The WWE has been very strategic, setting up future match-ups involving Reigns that should include both Sikoa and Fatu. They’re playing the long game, folks, and it’s all leading up to something huge.
And with the announcement that WWE Survivor Series WarGames is returning in 2024, you can bet your bottom dollar that Reigns is going to be right in the thick of it. There’s no shortage of enemies for the Tribal Chief to face, but convincing the WWE Universe to forgive Reigns for his reign (pun intended) as the company’s biggest villain? Well, that might take some work.
But in the meantime, folks, if you were planning on seeing Roman Reigns in Seattle, you might want to make other plans. The Tribal Chief is sitting this one out, but don’t worry—when he comes back, it’s going to be yuge.
