Well, folks, it looks like Ridge Holland just flunked out of Chase U with flying colors—specifically, red for rage and black for the bruises he left behind. After a crushing defeat to Nathan Frazer and Axiom at “WWE NXT” No Mercy, Holland decided it was time to hand in his resignation… by powerbombing it straight through Andre Chase and company. Clearly, Ridge didn’t get the memo that school spirit doesn’t include a side of betrayal.

The match kicked off with the energy of a freshman orientation, as Holland and Chase stepped into the ring to defend their NXT Tag Team Championships. From the get-go, Frazer and Axiom were schooling Chase with a masterclass in high-flying acrobatics. But just when it looked like the undergrads were getting schooled, Holland, the muscle-bound TA of Chase U, stepped in to save the day. The crowd in Colorado was on the edge of their seats, watching as near falls piled up faster than overdue homework assignments.

But then came the pop quiz nobody was ready for: Axiom miraculously kicked out of a brutal Powerbomb and Backstabber combo that should’ve earned Chase U an A+ in tag team dominance. Sensing graduation was near, Chase decided to take it up a notch by scaling the top rope. Unfortunately, Axiom had a different lesson plan in mind, greeting him with an Enzuigiri that left Chase seeing stars—possibly even the ones in the NXT logo. Frazer then tagged in, and the dynamic duo executed a Spanish Fly and Phoenix Splash combo that would make any gymnast jealous. The 1-2-3 came swiftly, and just like that, Frazer and Axiom were back on top as the NXT Tag Team Champions.

As Frazer and Axiom celebrated their victory, Chase U stood in the ring looking like they’d just been handed a pop quiz they didn’t study for. That’s when Ridge Holland decided it was time to drop out in the most literal way possible. Fueled by pure rage—or maybe just really bad cafeteria food—Holland unleashed a fury on his own teammates, flattening Chase, Hudson, and Riley Osborne faster than you can say “academic probation.” Even Thea Hail, in her best cheerleading voice, couldn’t stop the carnage as Holland capped off his tirade with a vicious announce table DDT on Chase, officially declaring himself a dropout.

With this loss, Chase U’s short-lived NXT Tag Team Championship reign ended at just 18 days. Their previous run had lasted longer, but Sunday marked the beginning of Frazer and Axiom’s second reign as tag champs. As for Chase U, it looks like they’ll be needing some serious extra credit to bounce back from this one—assuming they can find all the pieces of their broken hearts and shattered egos first.
