The Celtic Warrior isn’t done yet! Sheamus, the former WWE Champion and all-around tough-as-nails Irishman, is reportedly close to signing a new multi-year deal with WWE, locking him in for another 3-5 years. According to PWInsider, Sheamus is following in the footsteps of Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre, who recently put pen to paper on their own WWE contracts. Whether it’s already signed or just awaiting a signature, one thing is clear—Sheamus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Despite some recent frustrations in his quest to become a Grand Slam Champion, Sheamus continues to be a force on WWE Raw. The Intercontinental Championship has slipped through his fingers more times than a bar of soap, but Sheamus isn’t giving up. His most recent opportunity came during WrestleMania 39 in a Triple Threat match against Drew McIntyre and GUNTHER, where he couldn’t quite close the deal.
But don’t count him out—if there’s one thing we know about Sheamus, it’s that he’s got more comebacks than a boomerang.
Earlier this year, some cryptic social media posts had fans wondering if the “Celtic Warrior” was on his way out of WWE. But with this new deal looming, it seems like Sheamus will be sticking around to deliver more Brogue Kicks, bad jokes, and hard-hitting matches for years to come.
