Folks, it was the victory heard ’round the world—Jey Uso, after nearly 15 years of tag team dominance, snatched his first singles title on WWE Raw. That’s right, folks, Main Event Jey Uso took down Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker, and let me tell you, it sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe! And, of course, everyone who’s anyone had something to say about it.
Triple H, the WWE’s big boss in charge of content (I know a thing or two about big titles), wasted no time in congratulating Uso. The Game himself tweeted, “The embodiment of hard work paying off is Main Event Jey @WWEUsos. An all-time great in the tag team division, and now has won one of the most historic championships in our business. Congratulations, Jey… YEET!” Triple H even threw in a YEET for good measure, folks! When the boss gives you a YEET, that’s like being handed the keys to the kingdom. Believe me, I know a thing or two about keys and kingdoms.
But the love didn’t stop there. The New Day’s finest, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who’ve had some phenomenal clashes with the Usos over the years, gave their kudos too. There’s nothing like a little respect from your greatest rivals. Even the Queen of Harts herself, Natalya, chimed in, praising the hard work Jey put in to get to this moment.
Now, if you think that’s where it ends, you’ve clearly never watched WWE. Jey’s win is like a buffet—everybody wants a piece! Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, former Judgment Day heavy-hitters who’ve been right there in the thick of Jey’s recent stories, both said his win was more than well-deserved. There was applause from all sides, folks. Even former tag team partner and current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, kept it simple and hilarious by posting a GIF of him shouting “YEET!” from that unforgettable Fastlane press conference. Cody always brings a good meme to a celebration.
But the real party starter? None other than Rikishi, WWE Hall of Famer and proud father of the new Intercontinental champ. Rikishi was practically glowing over his son’s big win and even invited none other than Rhea Ripley, or “Mami” as she’s known, to join in the celebrations. It’s a family affair, folks, and we love to see it!
In a brief post-match interview with Jackie Redmond, Jey, ever the humble-yet-confident champ, reminded the WWE Universe that he got the job done all by himself. And how does the new Intercontinental Champion plan to celebrate? By “YEETING” with that shiny title around his waist. Classic Jey, folks—always keeping it real, but a little mysterious. How will he celebrate? We may never know… but something tells me it’s going to involve a lot of YEETS and maybe some Viking-sized victory parties!
