Wrestling fans, buckle up! The Bloodline is defending their WWE Tag Team Championships in a triple threat ladder match on “SmackDown” just one night before the Bad Blood 2024 PLE. On October 5, live from Nashville, the former Guerillas of Destiny, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, will put their titles on the line in a match that promises to have more thrills than a rollercoaster at full speed.
It was General Manager Nick Aldis who dropped the bombshell in a video, explaining his master plan for the go-home episode of “SmackDown.” And, folks, it’s Music City, so you know it’s going to be big. “I thought, let’s do something special for the good folks in Music City,” said Aldis, who proudly calls Nashville home. His idea? Suspend the tag team titles high above the ring, and let the Bloodline fend off not one, but two of the most dangerous teams in WWE—DIY’s Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano and The Street Profits’ Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins. Let’s just say that if you love ladder matches, you’re in for a treat.
As if the ladder match wasn’t enough drama, this showdown comes right before the Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu clash with Cody Rhodes and the returning Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. With so much on the line for the Bloodline, it’ll be interesting to see if they can hold onto those belts or if the tag team titles are headed for new hands before the Nashville crowd.
This week’s SmackDown is also shaping up to be a must-watch. Naomi and Bayley will battle for a chance to challenge WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax at Bad Blood, while Michin takes on Piper Niven, and Andrade and Carmelo Hayes face off in what’s sure to be a heated sixth singles match.
So, mark your calendars, folks. October 5 is going to be an explosive night of wrestling action, and it’s only a taste of what’s to come at Bad Blood 2024.
