Folks, you thought AEW WrestleDream 2024 couldn’t get any bigger? Think again. After this week’s episode of AEW Collision, they’ve thrown in more matches than your grandma at bingo night, and let me tell you—this card is STACKED. Like a Vegas buffet, only with more superkicks and fewer questionable salads.
First up, Darby Allin is back, and he’s not in a great mood, folks. After losing his shot at the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley, Darby’s looking to prove he’s still Seattle’s most extreme son. Enter Brody King, a man who basically lives in a haunted house when he’s not wrestling. King took Darby’s open challenge and probably his lunch money too, because that’s what Brody King does—he ambushes. These two last clashed in 2022 in a Coffin Match where Darby took the win, but this time? It’s going to be brutal, and not just because Brody King looks like he could bench press a monster truck.
But wait, there’s more! The Young Bucks—those guys who make synchronized flips look easier than parking a car—will defend their AEW World Tag Team Titles against Private Party. It’s like throwing a fireworks show inside a blender, and we’re just waiting to see which high-flyer goes splat first.
And of course, there’s the AEW Women’s World Championship. Right now, Mariah May is standing tall, but she’ll have her opponent locked in after this week’s Title Tuesday. Britt Baker—who probably has more titles than some folks have teeth—and Willow Nightingale, the smiley but smash-you-through-a-table powerhouse, will fight it out for the chance to dethrone May at WrestleDream.
Five other title matches are already booked, making this show the wrestling equivalent of a 12-car pileup. You’ve got Will Ospreay, Ricochet, and Konosuke Takeshita in a three-way fight for the International Championship—aka “match of the century” potential. Jack Perry will attempt to hold onto his TNT Championship against Katsuyori Shibata (good luck, Jungle Boy). Bryan Danielson, the wrestling genius himself, faces his former buddy Jon Moxley in what can only be described as a fight where feelings—and maybe bones—get broken.
Oh, and don’t forget the ROH titles! Mark Briscoe will defend his ROH World Championship against Chris Jericho, who probably already has a cruise booked for after his inevitable victory tour. And just for extra carnage, Atlantis Jr. will face Brian Cage for the ROH World Television Championship. Get your popcorn, folks, this is going to be insane.
