Folks, grab your tissues and your wrestling history books, because this one’s got the feels. Lexis King (formerly known as Brian Pillman Jr.) has made it clear that his career isn’t just about winning titles—it’s about honoring his late father, the legendary Brian Pillman Sr., by getting him into the WWE Hall of Fame. King took to social media, momentarily dropping the Lexis moniker, to speak as Pillman Jr., reminding the world of his ultimate goal: seeing his dad take his rightful place among wrestling’s elite.
“Just speaking as Pillman Jr. here for a moment. This is all I ever wanted,” he wrote. “My goal from day one in wrestling has always been to bring enough attention to the Pillman name, to remind us all of this legendary performer so that he could take his rightful spot in the Hall of Fame.” Heartstrings officially pulled, folks.
For those who didn’t live through the Attitude Era, Pillman Sr. was a true trailblazer. A high-flying star who wasn’t afraid to push the envelope—or bring a firearm to a live angle with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (yeah, that really happened). He tragically passed away at the young age of 35 in 1997, leaving behind a legacy that’s been etched in wrestling lore ever since.
Now, his son is stepping up to make sure the wrestling world doesn’t forget that legacy. After working on the independent scene and in AEW, Pillman Jr. signed with WWE and now wrestles on NXT under the name Lexis King. And while King may be blazing his own trail with memorable feuds against Baron Corbin, Von Wagner, and others, the mission to get his father the recognition he deserves has never been far from his mind.
So, will Brian Pillman Sr. finally get his Hall of Fame moment? If Lexis King has anything to say about it, it’s only a matter of time before the Loose Cannon finds his place among the legends.
