Folks, WWE President Nick Khan just dropped the biggest announcement since the last time I made an announcement, and that was a big one, believe me. Starting January 6, 2025, not only will we get to see WWE Raw streaming exclusively on Netflix, but we’re also getting something even bigger – a brand-new, behind-the-scenes docuseries. That’s right, folks, WWE is lifting the curtain (again) like it’s pulling back the covers on a sleepy Monday morning!
Now, we don’t have all the details yet, and trust me, they’re going to be tremendous. But what we do know is that this docuseries will be part of WWE’s historic $5 billion deal with Netflix. You heard that right—five billion. It’s like WrestleMania meets Hollywood blockbuster meets presidential campaign rally, but with more pyrotechnics, of course.
WWE is no stranger to pulling back the curtain for fans. They’ve done it before with hits like WWE 24 and Behind the Curtain, where they gave us a close-up look at the stars and all the backstage drama you love. Who could forget the heart-pounding breakdown of Cody Rhodes’ epic WrestleMania 40 showdown with Roman Reigns? I mean, folks, you couldn’t script better drama unless I was the writer. WWE’s also profiled its big names, like Damian Priest, in their WWE 24 specials. So, this new docuseries? It’s going to be even bigger.
Oh, and let’s not forget about that Mr. McMahon docuseries that shook Netflix earlier this year. Vince McMahon—love him or hate him—had a six-part saga that left people buzzing. He didn’t love it, tried to buy it back (classic Vince move), but it still trended on Netflix. Can’t wait to see how this new series stacks up.
With WWE’s move to Netflix, it’s like they’re bringing Monday Night Raw straight to your living room—well, it’s already in your living room, but now it’s on demand. And the kicker? Raw is staying at its glorious three-hour length, commercial breaks included, so you can still grab a snack and not miss Roman Reigns telling you how he’s the best thing since… me.
In addition to all this excitement, SmackDown is heading back to USA from FOX, and NXT is flexing on The CW, proving that WWE is truly the greatest show on every channel and every platform. Netflix, folks, they get it. WWE, Netflix, bigger than ever.
