In a twist no one saw coming—but probably should have—the unstoppable Wyatt Sicks finally found themselves laid out on WWE Raw, all thanks to a plot twist orchestrated by The Miz, some questionable alliances, and an absolutely ruthless steel chair.
It all started backstage, where Karrion Kross stumbled upon a somehow-abducted-yet-now-miraculously-free Miz. The man’s been through quite a character journey lately, having been previously abducted by Uncle Howdy’s ominous squad. (Apparently, a good old apology to his kidnapper sufficed for Miz to stroll free again—WWE logic at its finest.) But the sweet-talking didn’t last. Kross, sensing that something was up, dragged Miz down to the ring, demanding answers and threatening to out-Mysterio Mysterio.
Once in the ring, Kross called out the Wyatts, demanding they appear—because, of course, that’s what you do to a group known for showing up in spooky darkness and wreaking havoc. And like clockwork, the lights dropped, the screens glitched, and the Wyatt Sicks appeared on the ring apron, face-to-face with Kross and company.
But just when the Wyatt Sicks thought they were in control, Miz snuck up behind Erick Rowan, wielding a steel chair with the kind of enthusiasm that’s reserved for “I just got kidnapped” revenge plots. With the Authors of Pain and Kross joining in on the ambush, the Wyatt Sicks found themselves outmatched in a frenzied brawl that left them sprawled on the mat.
And what did Uncle Howdy do? Oh, just cackled from the ropes, watching his allies get hammered with all the detached enthusiasm of a guy who thinks a wrestling ambush is “all in good fun.” Clearly, his time spent haunting WWE’s corridors has given him a casual attitude toward getting clobbered.
The Miz, who barely escaped a creepy stint with the Wyatts by pledging repentance (probably one of the lesser-used wrestling escape routes), was clearly back to his old tricks. The Wyatt Sicks, once the terrors of WWE Raw, are now facing the prospect of more traps, more chairs, and probably more absurd plotlines on the road ahead. And we, the audience, wouldn’t have it any other way.
