Buckle up, wrestling fans—AEW and CMLL are bringing the heat to Arena Mexico this December 13th for a star-studded crossover showdown! AEW has spent 2024 strengthening ties with wrestling giants worldwide, including CMLL and Stardom, and they’re ending the year with a bang by sending four fan-favorites south of the border.

Wednesday’s “CMLL Informa” broadcast confirmed the lineup for this anticipated event, with AEW stars Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, “Timeless” Toni Storm, and Ring of Honor Women’s TV Champ Red Velvet ready to throw down. In an exciting twist, Storm and Velvet will join forces against La Catalina and Tessa Blanchard, while PAC steps up against Volador Jr. in a high-flying clash. Meanwhile, Castagnoli, known for his technical mastery, is set for a gritty singles bout against CMLL’s powerhouse Hechicero.

This announcement follows a week of intense speculation kicked off by a mysterious teaser video from CMLL. Toni Storm herself hinted at a return to Arena Mexico after her defeat by Catalina in October, sparking excitement for this December showdown. And for Castagnoli, PAC, and Velvet, this will be a return to CMLL’s spotlight, where they’ve battled before and made their mark on the international scene.

With more international talent on the horizon for 2025’s Wrestle Dynasty, AEW’s alliance with CMLL, Stardom, and New Japan is setting up wrestling’s most exciting era of cross-promotion. Expect the unexpected, and don’t miss a second of the action coming to Arena Mexico this December!
