The countdown is on for WWE Raw’s big Netflix debut on January 6, 2025, and the company has pulled out all the stops to ensure the night is an unmissable spectacle. WWE announced the premiere episode will broadcast live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, featuring none other than Travis Scott, a Hardcore Championship belt, and the John Cena starting his 2025 farewell tour. If that doesn’t scream “big deal,” what does?
Of course, Cena’s goodbye tour is just one piece of the puzzle. The premiere will also feature appearances by some of WWE’s heaviest hitters—Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Bianca Belair—even though they’re technically on SmackDown. Rumors have been swirling that Netflix has been pulling strings to get the biggest names, with whispers of CM Punk possibly joining the red brand as well. WWE hasn’t confirmed all the moves, but fans can expect a blockbuster roster shakeup to keep things spicy.
As for Travis Scott, his role in this spectacle isn’t just a cameo. WWE legend Triple H showed up at ComplexFest to award Scott a WWE Hardcore Championship belt (because why not?) and hype his Netflix debut. Scott’s track “FIEN” was a highlight of WrestleMania 41 earlier this year, so he’s no stranger to adding a touch of star power to the squared circle.
But not everything is sunshine and suplexes. Netflix’s infrastructure was recently put through the wringer during the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, which crashed harder than a Brock Lesnar F5. While Netflix assures WWE it’s ready for January 6, fans might want to keep a backup snack handy if buffering turns their main event into a mid-show nap.
