This week’s episode of NXT featured some unexpected cameos—but not in the ring. PROGRESS Wrestling stars Rhio, Tate Mayfairs, and Molly Spartan were spotted in the crowd, causing a flurry of speculation among fans and insiders alike. Could these UK talents be the latest recruits to WWE or its ever-expanding NIL program? Or were they just stopping by to soak in the Florida vibes?
For now, WWE is staying mum. According to Fightful Select, sources close to both NXT and the wrestlers say that the trio was “just visiting.” (Translation: nothing to see here, folks—move along!) Still, fans shouldn’t rule out future developments. Rhio, for instance, has planted roots in Orlando and is prepping for a U.S. tour, so she may be sticking around for more than Disney World selfies.
UK Talent Scouting: The Plot Thickens
Rhio and Mayfairs are already on WWE’s radar. Rhio participated in a tryout earlier this year during WWE’s UK visit, and Mayfairs—though technically a former NXT UK signee—never actually wrestled before the brand went on hiatus. Both have even dabbled in AEW: Rhio appeared as part of Saraya’s entourage at AEW All In, and Mayfairs went toe-to-toe with Daniel Garcia on Collision.
Meanwhile, Molly Spartan has been tearing up the Scottish indie scene, with standout performances in promotions like Insane Championship Wrestling. Spartan’s presence at NXT has sparked questions about whether WWE might start dipping into the rich talent pool of European wrestling for its ID program.
At this point, no offers have been made—at least not officially. But if history tells us anything, it’s that where there’s smoke, there’s usually a flaming superkick waiting to hit.
