Mercedes Moné proved why she’s called “The Blueprint” after narrowly retaining her TBS Championship in a brutal, 19-minute-and-25-second war with Kris Statlander at AEW Full Gear—the longest women’s match in AEW history. Moné survived an onslaught of Statlander’s power moves and delivered enough Meteoras to start a meteor shower, but in the end, it was cunning (and a little biting) that sealed the victory.

Statlander, determined to reclaim the title she never lost, came out swinging—literally—with a military press slam that had Moné scrambling for survival. The match quickly spilled outside the ring, turning into a street fight with pinfalls that seemed endless and kick-outs that defied logic.

Statlander electrified the Newark crowd with her signature Saturday Night Fever, but Moné showed why she’s a champion, kicking out in the nick of time. In a shocking moment, Statlander survived the Moné Maker, sending the crowd into a frenzy and Moné into a rare moment of desperation. Statlander looked poised to finish Moné with an Electric Chair drop, but Moné channeled her inner rabid fan, biting Statlander’s leg to escape.

That unexpected offense left Statlander vulnerable, allowing Moné to roll her up for the hard-fought win. After the bell, Moné collapsed on the floor, basking in her victory as the stunned Newark crowd tried to process what they had just witnessed. Meanwhile, a battered Statlander was helped backstage by AEW medical staff.

Moné, ever the showwoman, declared, “I’m the greatest TBS Champion of all time. I’m the best. The conversation; the blueprint.” Say what you want—she’s got the receipts.
